Hi everyone, so I decided to crawl out of my cave and get some help for my sad situation. Long story short, I have a Viao netbook running windows 7 starter and along with removing the ability to change desktop background wallpaper -___- Microsoft have also removed internet connection sharing from this most basic of the win7 family.
Up until now, my solution has been the pro edition of Connectify. I chose the pro edition because it allows me to share any internet connection via WiFi or Ethernet. It is however slow to start up and quite buggy at times, which is why I need help finding a better solution for my predicament. A cheap/free solution.
Is there another program out there in the interwebs that can do what connectify does? I'm especially interested in a solution that allows sharing via Ethernet but WiFi will do.
Also, I'm well aware of the "type ad hoc in the search bar" solution. That doesn't seem to work for me, my Xbox 360 needs infrastructure, not adhoc or something because it doesn't even show up on the list of available wifi's.
Please help me.
