I was approached today by a salesman from FastNet who was offering a free business adsl account setup to provide my restaurant and my customers with free wifi. The company (FastNet) usually deals with merchant POS. He says that if we opt for only the adsl and not the merchant speed point that it is for free. This seems ridiculously fishy to me, so has anyone got any insight on this matter?

Their legit. Telkom offer. 10MB line with 1GB bandwith for your use. WiFi is not free for your customers or you.
I've been approached by them as well. Their ProPos gold package is about R80 more expensive then xLink. Thou Fastnet is 3G.

Surprised there isn't more on this.
My business partner was approached about 6 weeks ago with the same offer from Fastnet. I also believed it too good to be true, until Telkom arrived this morning and installed an ADSL line and router at our business.
Now if only I can find out what our ISP username and password is....
