I lose weight when I travel, as it is easier to eat right provided you avoid junk food/fast foods since the work is paying i.e. instead of pasta have a steak and some vegs, instead of burger and chips, a chicken wrap is better. So, I needed to get rid of some lockdown weight - actually quite a chunk of lockdown weight.
Dietician wanted me to go on Ozempic but its not registered here yet so she put me on Saxenda injections (liraglutide). It worked fantastic for about 4 weeks as the doses increased. I had almost no appetite. Just looking at food made me feel sick. Dropped 8KG in a month.
But then it started wavering a bit almost like my body got used to it. And i got hungry of note. She kept saying its mind over matter because Saxenda should work for years, but it just didn't. Finally I stopped it because at R5000pm excl visits I just felt like it was not working.
That said, i've heard others have had success with it. One thing that is my problem is I travel A LOT for work. So almost 60% of my meals in a month are eaten out of the house. When i'm at home i'm not bothered to make food so then its Uber eats....
IF is one idea but then which way do i do it? If I skip dinner i'm stuck taking clients out and they're eating while i watch them with a glass of water and they think i'm insane. If I skip breakfast most hotels its already paid-for so i'm wasting a paid meal and buying another one at 12h00... Dunno which way to do this lol.
Some simple rules and you wont gain.
Since this thread started I have lost 5kgs. Running and weights.
