Father's Day Rocks!

I wasn't expecting anything, so it was a nice surprise.
I got a book about historical aerial battles some choccies, sweets and a hand made card.
And I'm not even their real father! :D

Maybe not their biological dad but they still regard you as a father. Kudos to you.

I am fortunately not at this stage yet...

But I must say it's been the first year that my daughter felt truly apart of it (4 years old) for having a mind to have a real opinion on the matter and being physically able to do thing.

I'm not big on gifts and surprises so I got a little Lego man that is representative of me but the best part was really the Q&A that they made at school with the teachers assistance which is in the vein of "What do you like most about your dad" or "What is your favourite thing to do with your dad" I don't remember them all except the one that snubbed mom was hilarious.

"I love daddy more than..." - "Mommy"

She was not amused. :)

My dad wall in my office, right below long service awards :p

Need to update the photo though as I don't have my youngest on there but I love the current one

It is said that any man can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a dad. Be proud you make a difference to those kids.

The joys of living in the middle of nowhere is that sometimes it takes forever for a courier to arrive with belated gifts...

Imagine my sheer sense of excitement, akin to being nine years old an experiencing Christmas morning, for me to walk into my office to find this black carton laden with assorted beers......

it turns out that this is part of my father's day gifts that never arrived on time......

All That ale....jpg

Think this will be tested under a blanket in front of the telly during tomorrow afternoon's rain sodden test match!

To think I was not even meant to be in the office this morning as I need to drive to Springbok to collect FirstBornMoose arriving on the midnight bus that will descending down from the Highveld!
