lol it is a broad bean as @ISP cash cow said. I get mine from Atlas in Bo-Kaap or Spice Emporium in Claremont. I have no idea where you would get them in your hood. Maybe try one of the spice/Indian supermarkets?

This. You buy them like this:



Open the long bean, take out those individual round pods & put into boiling water for a few minutes. Then you let cool and squeeze the softer part out of the little pods to get this:



Olive oil, salt, lemon etc.
