Fax to Email Solution?

[Apologies if this is the wrong board - I did a search across all the boards and found none dealing directly with fax to email]

FNB Connect decided to ditch all their fax customers on Sunday (with no prior warning).

Judging by the lack of complaints I was one of their few customers for this service.

It was a fax to email service that worked fine so I didn't mess with it. Can anyone suggest a replacement? I am looking for a basic solution, its light traffic and I just need faxes to reach my email.

I am a Zoiper pro user, which allows me to send faxes but strangely not receive them, unless I just need to add some codecs for that?

PS - I would prefer a service that does not rip off my clients who fax me (by charging them exorbitant rates, even if that means a basic subscription on my side

Have been using then for years for receiving and sending faxes via email.

One of their nice features is that you can log in to the site and retreive faxes from a year or two ago if you lost the email.
Has been a life saver for me in the past.
Don't think the prices are also to bad for receiving or sending faxes.

Thanks it looks good except that the pricing for my clients to fax me is R 1,71 per minute or R 3,02 per page which is steep, especially if the fax needs some retries to go through properly

This. Many other fax to email providers are just resellers of FaxFx.

Hi Mike,

We offer a fax-2-email and email-2-fax service for R20/month. You only pay for the phone number and normal call charges apply if you want to send faxes also.

You can get a geographic (021, 011, 010 etc) or non-geographic (087) number. Telkom call rates for the sender of the fax are R0.5898/ minute (geographic) or R0.6702 (non-geographic) respectively. Keep in mind that Telkom has a minimum charge of R0.554 on all calls.

Thanks for the feedback Sebastiaan. Reasonable rates. We went for the Vox solution because we needed a number yesterday but will keep this in mind if we have problems there (still don't know what the call rates into the Vox fax nr will be
