Feedback Please: Alternate SMS notification

Any chance that ALTNUM will be applied to PPDB? I have router now, so no more SMS notifications :)

PS. @v3g: I think you should stick this in the FAQ (I looked for it there, but was nowhere to be found)

Yeah, need to do some housekeeping on the FAQ.

I've put ALTNUM in as a feature request for PPDB, btw.
 
Real Time Data Useage

Sorry if I am not understanding things correctly here.

Is it possible to set certain "triggers" on data useage. :confused:

In other words if I wanted to know when I had used say 1/4 , 1/2 , 3/4 , 4/4 of my available bundle could this info be SMS to me :confused: -- on the data SIM number , and then on the alternate number as mentioned here.

This is for PPDB. Obviously not so critical because when the money runs out -- thats it -- but some sort of indication for the CDB more important. Perhaps a CDB could indicate what their intended limit was and use that value as a type of PPDB :confused:

No No IC I have not checked this in the Sticky or FAQ - I think that those are a little bit out of date. But feel free to come down on me like a ton of electrons -- my force field is at full operational efficiency. :cool:

locked loaded charged and cloaked.

PPDB are getting the usage notifications, just not to the alternate number.

TopUp Contract

I have a TopUp contract. Does this count as a pay-as-you go or a contract? I'm asking, because I did send the "ALTNUM" sms to 123, but got no response back.

I have a Router running our Office network.

I do check on Vodacom4Me, but I didn't the last 3 days, and there must have been Windows updates on my network. And at R2/MB, it used up all my "cash" that was on the account within a day. :(

If I recall this was contract only. PAYG and Top-Up were not implemented.
 
Hello Dirk. PM me the details of the two numbers concerned. I have checkedd on our system and tested it with my own top up. It allows me to nominate a alternate notify number on the system for top up.

Thanks for the offer of adding the numbers on the system, maybe it will work if done manually.

I tried it again today, this time I actually got a responce back, (last time I just got nothing), saying : "This service is only for contract subscribers."
