What? Speculation or can you back this up with fact?

As it is McLaren got away with the spy scandal almost entirely. This is karma biting McLaren in the ass. They want to play dirty, they should suffer the consequences. Ron Dennis is what's wrong with that team anyway, not the drivers or pit crew or anyone else - Ron Dennis.

Once again your speculation clouds your judgment. This has nothing to do with Ferrari and everything to do with McLaren.

McLaren were found not guilty. The whiney Italians havn't got a car so they protest. Now it's off to the appeal court. That route looks doubtful so ferrari find another route to catch up to McLaren. Thing is, they need to have McLaren thrown out for the season to have any chance an even then the BMW's will beat them. hahahaha :D

erm, no. Mclaren were found guilty, but were not censured or penalised by the WMSC as they felt that there was no proof that Mclaren had used the information obtained by their Chief designer in their car or to their advantage.

How they arrived at this conclusion is beyond a lot of people as the dossier contained complete detailed information of the F2007 as well as information pertaining to team strategies. Notwithstanding the fact that in terms of the rules that were breached, there is no provision that states thet the information must have been utilised to pass a penalty. The fact that the information ended up in Mclarens possession was enough to sanction some form of penalty.

However, I digress. What transpired during yesterday's qualifying is laughable. There are so many different versions - Alonso says he was held up to discuss the tyres, the team says he was held up to get a clear track, Dennis says that Hamilton cocked it up by not letting Alonso past at the beginning of Q3 (if so why was he so p!ssed at Fanny Adams?). Could someone make up their mind as to what the real story is?

Should they have been penalised? Absolutely! Alonso got an unfair advantage by what transpired and was rightfully demoted.

As to the conspiracy theories that this is to benfit Ferrari, here's another. Maybe Berns and Max want Hamilton to win the championship.

edited to add: Personally I would have loved to have seen Hamster Boy and Fanny Adams duke it out in the first corner.

Do you call that punishment for Alonso? To lose 5 places? Schummi during the Monaco Qualifying I think, blocked Alonso by "parking" his car and he was sent to the BACK of the grid.
If this was Fearrari you would bet Kimmi or Massa would have been sent to the back of the grid.

I'm not a Ferrari fan, but I must say McLaren did this to themselves, so I fail to see the correlation between what McLaren did and a spurious speculative theory that Ferrari are somehow behind this. As for keeping it "light", I'm not the one that twice pointed a finger at a team not even involved in McLaren's overall ****ups for the year. Oh, by the way - BMW stood to gain more from the events that transpired than Ferrari - so how come nobody fingers BMW? Strange how Ferrari are made the Piñata even when they don't stand to gain anything, eh?

And lastly - as for the spy debacle, McLaren were found guilty, but were not punished (one has to wonder if it were Renault or Ferrari if the same non-punishment may have endured - I doubt it - Dennis, Max and Bernster are all Turkish bath time pals). By the way - it was an ex Ferrari employee who imparted the documents to McLaren.
 
I see no reason why McClaren should be defended for the Spy debacle. They HAD Ferrari documents in their possession and it probably did do some damage to Ferrari's chances, albeit probablt isn't as much as Ferrari says it is. End of the day McClaren cheated. No action was taken because of the chances of a ruling damaging the sport. A financial penalty should've been levied.

What happened yesterday was also pretty suspect. Alonso didn't do wrong but the team screwed up. The penalty was harsh but teams need to learn that it's illegal o do what they did regardless if it's intentional.
 
I have no time for Hamilton now. His antics effectively cost the team the constructors points and a chance at a 1-2 finish. Alonso got screwed because Hamilton ignored team orders. When you have two ultra competative drivers, you need to have rules in place that allow both drivers a fair shot. Team orders that give each driver a chance of qualifying second in alternative races etc. Hamilton ignored those just so he could get pole. He is more interested in winning the the Team winning. Remember this post, there is a good chance that either he will kill someone or himself if he is so focused on winning all of the time. If it is that important to him that he will ignore everyone else and any agreements that are in place before the race, it can only be dangerous.

I think the team acted appropriately. Hamilton ignored team orders and he should have been prevented from taking his last qualifying lap. My guess is that the relationship has soured between Hamilton and the Team significantly.

they both could have made it and it would have been an awesome finish to the qualifying

teams are so worried about themselves and not the drivers or the viewers who want action not team orders

down to with team orders, the more hamilton is doing this sort of thing the more im liking him

Because the driver who goes last has the best chance at qualifying fastest. It has to do with fuel loads, track conditions etc. They take it in turns allowing each driver last crack. This time is was Alonzo's turn. Hamilton decided he did not like that option. Most of the team are p'd off with him.

He is exceedingly arrogant and has had everyone tell him since he was 10 that he is brilliant and better then everyone else. He is too aggressive which is dangerous.
 
abe alonso could have left nothing was holding him up

all he needed to do was go when he was told to and hamilton would have made it and alonso has a clear run
 
I am not an Alonso fan, he is good but I am still not a fan. But what he did to Hamilton on Saturday was so cool, good for him. Hamilton must realise that he works for a team, if he is given a team order then he must obey them.

I am talking about the fuel burning stage before they start going for their "hot laps". Hamilton was told to move over for Alonso so that he could try burn off more fuel, Hamilton refused.
 
The British rookie is earning just £250,000 in his first season in Formula One, and the Italian giants would be happy to make him one of the world's highest-paid sportsmen.

Current Ferrari number one Kimi Raikkonen rakes in £22million per year, but Hamilton could even top that.

He is a rookie. Mclaren took a gamble to put him in the team, and it paid off BIG time. They are going to have to dig deep into Mercedes' wallets to keep this talent in their team.
 
I've checked the video numerous times and Alonso is indeed looking in his mirrors at the waiting Hamilton. If Hamilton ignored orders to let Alonso past during fuel-burning, it sure as hell didn't make a difference when it came to the time Alonso posted.

Alonso is notorious for giving his team-mates kark during races. Last year in Canada specifically he repeatedly belted down the team radio about him "being much faster" than Fisichella, asking the team to order him to slow down and move over.

So ya, he is still a turd in my eyes. He always reacts like a spoiled-kid when things are not going his way. Perhaps he should go to Williams - Frank Williams will sort that shyte out of him.
