Ferrari Luce (EV)

I think it may help when people see the Luce next to an SF90 or 296GTB so they can understand it's not the same category and shouldn't be compared to them.

in your staunch defence of Ferrari you are not realizing absolutely no one implies that it should - But it should look as good as, if not better than the Purosangue and the Lamborghini Urus because its a newer vehicle than both those, and it absolutely does not ..... and its vomit inducing looks does not make it class leading as you would expect from Ferrari ...... it actually makes it wear the dunce cap while sitting in the corner sulking

A Ferrari isn’t competing with a Chery Tiggo; arguing the Tiggo is better because it’s cheaper and practical suggests you don’t understand the market - it’s the car version of saying a Casio G-Shock beats an AP Royal Oak because both tell time and if you squint it kind of looks the same.

BUT you are the one who said this is not a normal Ferrari and sadly the design aspects and proposed usage of this vehicle put it plumbly into being a competitor for your traditional SUV type vehicles whether they be expensive monsters or cheap tin cr@p

Vomit inducing? Bud, if it's not your taste then buy 8 Tiggos. Ferrari has created a new class/model with its own unique styling to address a market they can now appeal to. That market may not feel that its "vomit inducing" or they wouldn't buy it. The irony is it will probably outsell many of the models you prefer.

The difference is I have no issue with Ferrari developing a new model because I don't see it as an abandonment of (or a threat to) other vehicles Ferrari will continue to sell. And no, it's not an SUV - it's a competitor to any 5 seater, 4 door GT that's practical and has plenty of space for luggage compared to similar classes.

No they managed to create what was referred to as a pregnant roller skate, hunchback and it's comparison was a Chrysler crossfire.

if you say that about the Porsche then you have zero grounds to complain about what we say regarding the Ferrari beached whale ugly toilet bucket

Petrol Ped insert of the Luce

two minutes in and the cr@p that this guy is waffling is boring me - he did say that they were taken there by Ferrari so air fares paid probably business class seats - probably given 5 star rooms to stay in for the duration of the trip and luxury meals + open bar and luxurious trips to and from where they were doing the testing - and the guy insists he got nothing for doing the review BUT all that if it was paid for by Ferrari was just a 5 star bribe for a good review - unless this idiot tells me he paid for it out of his pocket (which i highly doubt)

Half of the hate comes from the fact that an Apple designer was part of it. Just read this thread and see the Apple haters.
Secondly many people don't understand who buys Ferrari's.
Every second clown and TikTok star have a Lamborghini.
Owning a Ferrari give you exclusivity. People pay more for that, so they not part of the clowns.

Firstly that has a body kit on.
Secondly when it launched there was also much negativity and memes.

I didn’t say that. It’s how it was characterized. Keep up. How’s the vomiting going?

thankfully i have better things to do than to keep looking at a ridiculously designed socalled sporty sedan reminiscent of looking at a toilet all day ..... so i have managed to restrict it to the times that i see new picture of the Luce

No need to even imply that it was the bribe that made the difference; more likely given that everyone on earth is dumping on this design, he's trying to bait engagement and differentiate by being contrarian.

It's... not going to work. This is a dismal failure; an econobox design at a luxury price point. Might be of interest to someone wanting a sleeper, but it doesn't do anything to differentiate itself from every other vaguely soft inoffensive people-box out on the road.

Bullshit. Ive did the interior design, and the interior is the only part of this mess that's gotten any praise so far; by all accounts it's excellent. Go be fragile elsewhere.

by all accounts it's excellent.
Honest question... what makes it "excellent" for you? Because when I look at it it's all square and blocky... the iPad vibe in the middle looks like they ran out of time to make it work properly and they just stuck it in the middle.

The most consistent praise I've seen has been for the tactile elements, especially the physical buttons; even that "slapped in" iPad has a collection of actual physical switches on it. The materials and textures get a lot of praise, but that's expected for a Ferrari; but also there's praise for the use of space within the vehicle.

Naturally I can't speak from personal experience, and my own preferences do not include that 70s orange/peach colour scheme that seems to show up in images of the interior. But the point remains that, while pretty much everyone is rightfully dogging on the exterior, the interior is coming off comparatively well.
