Fibre in Ramsgate

I will take that London latency over my current lte latency any day, not too worried about the speeds.

Any reason you wanted the 1000/1000 specifically or just because?
2 houses + office + mom and kids on internet all the time and if I lag playing my games (jamming Black Desert atm) there'll be murders.

That's why I have 3 ISP's as is. Plan is to cancel all that and just keep the fibre.

Makes sense, hopefully @AfriNatic can help you out soon.

You just need good QoS. My edgerouterX, using a 50mb line, and entering "50mb" as the linespeed, nothing else (some QoS setups are complicated), one can download at max speed while ping stays normal and flat. I admit, you sacrifice a few mb's in speed, speedtest reads 45 instead of 50.

Just got an email from Afrihost saying to hang in there speed will be better by tomorrow so I'll check again then.

I'll have to unplug this tonight anyway because I can't close the office door cable needs to go into roof and I aint gonna be the one putting it there.

I'm using the 8 port TP-Link TL-SG108.

Should I get something else?

Hi,

Please run the below command as admin.

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

Reboot. Please connect to the ONT directly for a few tests. No need to activate the connection because it will ask to activate. Please do speedtests using the speedtest.net app.

Thank you. I will do this for you tomorrow I have to go out in a bit. I'll let you know the results once I do.

Thanks. If the slow speeds persists please send me 3 speedtests while having task manager open to show the CPU usage so I can log it with FrogFoot and then we can take it from there.

Uh great Microsoft Store can't see I'm connected to the internet to download the app.

EDIT : @AfriNatic Having issues with MS Store which I'll troubleshoot tomorrow.

In the meantime I ran that command and here's the result from web with a direct connection - 5m CAT6>Router>5m CAT6>PC.

Now I really do need to go out will do the rest tomorrow.

Yes indeed but when it comes to logging faults for a 500Mbps and 1Gbps line on Frogfoot it's one of the requirements.
Ok hang on to your horses guys now its looking way better.

The network spikes to 95% and 99% when testing CPU highest I saw was 36% something I was a bit slow on screenshots but here you go - 3x tests and the last one is during.
