Fibre in Ramsgate

Not really. Their beta coverage map no longer even mentions dates...

Still waiting for FF to even make contact to schedule an installation. They probably have a huge backlog of orders by now - even though I signed up the very first day they offered fibre packages in the area.

But it does look like they are trying hard - saw technicians repairing cables on Sunday afternoon near St Michael's.

There is a lot of orders just looking at Uvongo.

Got an email from Afrihost this morning:
"The provider has advised that the area is not live yet, & there is no ETA at this stage on when it’s going live."
My order has therefore been changed to "a pre-order status"
I get that this is just some automatic feedback, but it's not very reassuring.

As per Afrihost's reply when I asked about the same email.

That is just a generic mail from us because our system keeps creating tickets for us to follow up with which can be annoying.

The order is already on home drop with FF.

Same here, except I'm in Shelly Beach.

Really hoped they would install early - so that I'm connected when they go live. Here's hoping for Christmas...

Hmm, Afrihost's map says the yellow areas from Oslo to Shelly Beach and surrounding is live for Frogfoot but other ISPs and Frogfoot's site is still on pending, should be really close anyways.

Still holding out for Openserve hehe, I haven't seen trenching again since after Frogfoot finished their areas so I reckon this might only be sometime late next year. Hopefully they also expand their coverage in that time as well for this discrepancy.

How do you see that is live on the Afrihost map?

I put a few street names across the lower coast into their coverage checker and Frogfoot isn't showing as a pre-order anymore.

Not as graphical as RocketNet for example but I'll take it hehe :D

Frogfoot's installation freeze period is also between 15 December and 10 January, so we might even only get installation early next year :(.

Could you confirm this is correct @AfriNatic?

Didn't you guys ask AfriHost to install so long? I asked and they did. Still waited a bit though. Think it was 3 weeks total.

Shelly Beach - Uvongo North is now live according to Frogfoot coverage. Now if the other side of the Uvongo bridge can go live I would be super happy.
