I stay in a small complex in Parklands and we want to get Fibre installed in the complex for 20 units. Can anyone tell me how long this whole process may take more or less?

Have a company been commissioned to start trenching yet?

Depends on a few factors , like are they trenching or running on walls etc - the should give a proposal - but we like 28 unit and they finished in about 2 or 3 days iirc - remember that's just installing in the complex - each unit will still need to install from thos junctions boxes to their unit when they decide to go live.

The company still has to come to the complex to have a look and then submit a proposal. So I was just curious if the whole process is going to take weeks, or months or maybe years, perhaps

Which fibre company did you use?

If they need to trench then it would be at least 3 weeks from start of trenching to sign off. Then it depends on network to light up fibre. You may go live in 4 weeks if the stars align

If your complex has existing Telkom infrastructure (manholes, duct, pipes) it could take less than a week.
