Installation lead time depends on the FNO available in your area. Openserve usually is quicker, within 5 days.

Openserve is quick AF. We moved into a new place in Oct. I placed the order on Thurs 29/09 before we moved in since the 1st was on a Saturday. Figured I'd get a response the following Monday to schedule installation. Openserve arrived before lunch on Saturday 01/10 and installed. Afrihost was live just after lunch on that same Saturday. Best service and turnaround I've ever seen.

Openserve have let us down badly . I applied on the 30th June 23 So Many promises and so little done/achieved.......they promised 6 to 10 days installation to completion......We feel as though we now need a shrink my husband is 83 and has had a 5 way bypass we are both not well only to be told by the computer tech chap that we we called out to do the computer and mobile settings. (this is his 2nd visit)have to wait another 36 hours before connection. Unfortunately We did a verbal 12 month contract with them.. I am now going to seek legal advice as to my rights about this whole story. I feel they could come and take their goods out of our home The consumer council should be able to assist . Is there anyone on my broadband who can advise
Thanks
Regards\Nanna

Dear Afrihost Team,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the incomplete installation process and the lack of satisfactory support provided by Afrihost. It has been several weeks since I purchased the 200Mbps Evotel Pure Fibre package from your company, and the installation is still pending. Furthermore, additional hardware, such as the TP-Link Deco X50, which was meant to be included in the package, remains undelivered.

Communication attempts have yielded insufficient feedback, leaving me feeling as though I am engaging with an automated system rather than dedicated individuals who genuinely care about resolving issues. The lack of ownership and responsibility taken to address the problems has only heightened my frustration.

Initially, the issue arose when my residence could not be located, leading to a prolonged exchange between Afrihost and Evotel. Despite my residential complex being fibre-ready since 13/05/2023, the installation process has been unduly delayed. Although the ONT installation by Evotel has been completed, Afrihost's part of the process remains unresolved.

As a customer, I had expected a higher standard of service from a reputable ISP provider like Afrihost. Unfortunately, the experience has fallen far short of this expectation, leaving me with no choice but to consider other options.

I urgently request a prompt resolution and clear communication on the steps being taken to complete the installation without further delay. If this matter is not adequately addressed, I insist on a full refund for the hardware I purchased, as it is of no use without a functioning service.

I trust that Afrihost will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and take immediate action to rectify the situation. Your prompt attention to this complaint will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

@Nicky_Swanepoel I am sorry to hear that the order has been delayed. Routers orders depend on the fibre order; if the fibre order with the FNO (Evotel) has not been completed or accepted, the Warehouse Team does not pack the device yet. Please share the AH reference so I can check the possible delays on the order.

Hi, the order number is AH647674. Can you also confirm if the additional hardware items (i.e TP Link Deco X50, UPS) are included? Thanks
