Does anyone know who the Service provider for the recently installed fibre will be in the brackendowns area and when it will be available for use?

Vodacom. FYI, they suck at the moment.

Edit: I checked a random address and they say that the address has fibre.

Damit, they also seem a bit expensive, I have to say the contractors did a proper job digging up and replacing our drive.

Yes, same in our area. They even painted ours again, but only the part they broke up.

They are expensive, but when you start comparing to Openserve, they aren't that expensive. Just don't expect any support from them.

Bringing this back up for some assistance please...

So I see my address in Brackendowns is finally live on Vodacom's site, via SADV.

Two questions with regards to this:

Due to the fact that it's SADV, does this mean it's open access and therefore I should be able to go with another ISP other than Vodacom? I've checked availability on Axxess and Webafrica and both show no Fibre available. What other route can I go by or how long until ISP's generally pick up that fibre is available?

Secondly, if I have to go via Vodacom, I tried to sign up month to month and when getting onto the OTP screen, when submitting the OTP, I get an error message:
Error updating business component at step 'Init TBC'.(SBL-BPR-00187)
The value entered in field Contact Id of buscomp VSFA TBC Direct Hyperlink Access does not match any value in the bounded pick list All Contacts PickList.(SBL-DAT-00225)
This error is returned when the workflow/task is executing the Siebel Operation business service.(SBL-BPR-00100)

Anyone have experience or other avenues to explore to order fibre?

SADV is fully open access. You need not use Vodacom, although they are an ISP on our network.

(I can't help you with Vodacom's Siebel issue.)
