Fibre was laid in our street by Metrofibre months ago. But Telkom still tells me "Fibre coming soon" and I am stuck with a 4MB line - now that I am working from home this is a real problem. How long before we can get a fibre connection??

We had fibre lines run in November 2016 and they still aren't live.

Same situation - had backhaul laid back in 2015 already by Link Africa. Ran a petition in the neighbourhood to get last mile in February. It's a relatively small, but dense neighbourhood. Have over 60 households interested so far. Sent it to Link Africa and they said it looks good. Still waiting patiently.

Telkom ISP is not a partner on MetroFibre Networx (MFN) FNO network.
Try an ISP that is a partner on MFN.

I am in the same boat, We had DFA lay conduit a few years back right past my place with a manhole opposite my house.
There is only one line running in it going to a housing estate. Only FTTB shows available at a (obviously high) cost.
Talk about a tease!

Exactly the same vibe here.... About R2000 for 10mbps FTTB.

Why on earth would you voluntarily choose Telkom as your ISP and billing partner on another companies line?
