Fibre Price Survey

Vox through Fibrehoods will make quite a few of you happy with their offering.

R849 for 500GB, 100Mbit line month to month and no installation costs. Free router too.

So I would be wanting to pay less for more.
So perhaps the same but with 1Gbit speeds! <3

Really?

Well, Frogfoot/LinkAfrica is installing the network, right? So, like with any Open Access solution, they will charge a line rental to the ISP's for delivering services over their network. I doubt they are charging themselves line rental for delivering services over their own network. So they will be able to "discount" their prices a little, because they are not paying as much as the other ISP's on the network do to give you a line with services.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think there is anything wrong with doing this. After all, kudos to them for taking the risk and making the capital investment to get the deployment off the ground. If one is the operator or owner of an open access network, you will always have slight advantage over other ISP's if you are delivering ISP services yourself. In the end it also help driving prices down, as the other ISP's will often try to match prices.

Vox operates independently of Frogfoot - I don't believe they receive a discount. Besides, their prices have been the same since before the purchase. I didn't understand what you meant because of grammar errors in your first post.
