This is disturbing. I will not sign a contract with that included. No company is getting a debit order from me.

Do you go to the bank/atm every month and do manual payments? for everything you're subscribed to ?

Set up automated EFT payments on your side via internet banking? That way you have full control over it.

I don't subscribe to a lot and all payments I make is through EFT or CC if I'm in a hurry. I don't trust any company to do my banking for me with the horror stories of people who never got refunds for double or extra deductions. I'll happily sign even a 24-month contract if I can control my own payments but consider this blank check clause striked out.

Yeah, but they should take all necessary precautions in their data center, that's the part I was looking for and couldn't find.

I don't think they will force you to. I think they will only do this if you fail to pay on time fairly often.

Seems fine to me. If you connect the lines (red) then the 24 month aligns with lowest construction fee and the 0 month aligns with lowest construction fee
 
@123Net There is something you should definitely mention in your email. Definitely before you start calling people for installation:

How you plan to roll out initially i.e. Installation in your house does not mean you are connected to the fibre network. Most people will assume that once they have this box in their house they are connected.
You need to be clear that the actual fibre will come later and this is to get everyone ready.

If you don't take a contract expect to pay the installation fee.

I get the distinct feeling you guys are struggling with the truth... I refuse to believe that you actually dont understand how the payment options work for the different service plans.
 
That blocks state excactly what their website stated and that they said all along. It couldnt be more clear. 24 month contract, no construction fee. 12 month contract, 1500 construction fee. And month to month will be 3600 construction fee. The part that confuses you is the description that would have been better either in the front or the back and not in the middle breaking up the blocks.

@Swa. Cancel your internet buddy, withdraw all your money from the bank and store it somewhere only you can access. The horror stories that could be told about personal computers being hacked and bank accounts being emptied is more horible then the stories of deposits that goes off wrongly. Why are you always looking for negative **** to bicker on about. Stop visiting the site and remove that 123fibre rollout from your signature cause you cant say anything good about them so I dont know how you could win them sign ups for your area. More like scaring the people away.

Ok, so swa mentioning that he doesn't trust companies to do debit orders from his bank account is unreasonable?
 
I also do not believe that some people are having challenges with the pricing....

Service fee is payable no matter if you choose month to month, 12 month contract or 24 month contract.

Construction fee is waived/decreased by committing to 123net that you will be a customer for a certain period of time. In turn reducing their business risk as they are contractually guaranteed that income for the period in question. The same as a prepaid vs contract phone.

As for Swa not liking debit orders, these days unauthorised/obscene payments would only occur on an open contract, which this is not. It is for a fixed amount that is not dependant on usage. Thus the amount would not change but if you don't like hassle free systems and prefer to do that yourself it is fine.
4.1 states that you DO NOT have to use a debit order and it can be an EFT payable in advance from yourself

4.6 will most likely be used to ensure the payment if you refuse to pay in advance. It also includes "other electronic" payments so if you give reason that they require a debit order to receive payment then you have put yourself in that situation.
 
Ok gents. . Keep kalm and wait for the fibre. We know swa isn't as optimistic as everyone else. But that's his constitutional right to freedom of choice.

Just let him opinionate. it's constructive criticism.
