I think some people are holding out on the contract until 123net responds to the queries of the people
 
If i am correct there are 170 or so outstanding contracts, if I could make a suggestion of a Secunda Mall display not a lot of folks are on this thread and those that have contracts dont know they are maybe slowing down the process

but in terms of not losing faith i cant lose faith i have no more hope left to lose :(

I think this is not a bad idea at all. a little pr never hurts.
 
I think 123Net is being a bit too demanding. Out of 500 you can't expect more than 170 people to sign up. In fact it's more than what I thought would. In time people will take up the service as they see others are. If this is going to be their criteria they aren't going to get anywhere.

It's a circular argument.

They cannot roll out unless enough people sign up, but the people will not sign up until they know what the level of service will be.

We completely agree. Unfortunately our investors do not see it this way :(
 
My contract is signed and sent. If this happens then great. But yeah. I dont think so.
 
Chin up guys, I know we can make this work. We and 123net just need to work together. I think a great start would be easy access to the contract. If we can get the go a head from 123net to send the contract to whomever we know without them having to go through the signup we can get there in no time. We can share it on our facebook timeline or whatever.

Knowing the situation but more importantly knowing that a blind eye isn't turned on the contract concerns is enough to get me to send in my contract. I already signed, just struggling with my scanner or it would have been in by now.

123net I might have been a bit of a douche, sorry about that.

Could I ask if it is at all possible to have a similar live counter for the amount of contracts signed as was the case for the applications? That seemed to have a lot of power in the form of an email to friends with the link of the live count.

I am sure we can get it through in a similar fashion.

Also, are we looking for raw number of contracts or does a higher package count more than say a R450 contract?
 
Also, do you plan to send out an official communication via email regarding the info you have shared about the signed contracts?

That's an excellent idea. I also wonder if it would be possible for them to tell us what their criteria is. If it is the same everywhere like the 300 required on their site or if there's something different like the area size and whether or not the people are in proximity to one another or not.
 
I can understand people having concerns but the only way we are ever going to get better internet is by signing contracts. i have filled and sent my contract, just never got a confirmation. It would be nice if every one who complains about slow internet would stand togeteher and get the contracts signed and sent.

I were wondering the same. I see the smallest package on 123net's website is the gigabit 10. From an investors perspective bigger contracts would mean faster returns on investments. I think that with many bigger contracts 123net could rollout with fewer contracts for an area. 123net might drop the megabit 5 and megabit 10 in the future to require less contracts from an area. Once they have established themselves as a quality service provider it would makes sense for them do so.
