So I was looking too upgrade from a 4mb ADSL line. I see the costs of ADSL and FIBRE and notice fibre is cheaper in certain ways, well depending on the package.

So I have DSTV and Telkom ofc, so I thought of getting a decent Fibre package then can stop those 2 services, cause I can do what I want online anyway. I noticed Webafrica have offered this:

500GB + 50Mbps Fibre Line
Once-off connection fee = free!
Free Router included
R1099/ per month

So as far as I understand it, I won't need Telkom at all (forgive me if I am wrong). If I cancel the stuff mentioned above it will definitely be worth for me BUT is the final price R1099? are there no other costs, etc except for the monthly bill from WA?

Thanks.

I would also clarify with WA which capped account you are signing up for.If it's a home capped account your downloads will be severely shaped during business hours.

Alright thanks, well I looked on the map and the fibre thats running near my house too the mall is Vumatel, (when I'm on WA site it shows WA signs by the fibre) and AFAIK WA + Vumatel are together.

I tried maps quickly too try explain where the fibre is running and how close it is too my house, is that close enough or are there more requirements than just "if close, we can install". X is the house and GREEN lines is where it's being layed.

Cybersmart lists a setup fee of R15'000, so I doubt it is feasible to connect a single house at the moment.

I think they need a self-install option. I have a shovel.
