FICA challenge

ETC act makes provisioning for emailing documentation. Original PDF's emailed as it is (without certification) is deemed certified by ETC.

Most people haven't caught on to this yet however and still insist on making your life difficult and wasting your time...

Try validating a sole proprietor bank account for SARS VAT.

Not only do you need to supply them with a copy of your ID, a proof of residence (municipal account) and a bank statement, the latter 2 original documents being PDF documents which means printed copies are just that copies; but one must also take these printed copies to a SARS branch in person. Upon visiting the branch you will be informed there is a queue to getting into the queue to see somebody and that at 11:00 it is likely that you will have to come back the next day!

I did ask if I could supply a bank certified account with commissioner of oaths signed other documents, but was informed that as the information had to be captured into the SARS system, this was not possible.

No I do not understand any of this either, but I do understand why SARS is overloaded.

Before I could just take my Telkom account that I printed off but when I was at ABSA a few weeks back they didn't like it and I had to forward the actual email to them as well...

Which they then printed out, scanned back in and emailed off... Why, I couldn't say if you forced me.

My tenants have had problems with the Electricity account that I give them not being acceptable, because it was "not on a pre-printed form".

I tarted it up with a few logos and a statement that it conformed to the Rental Act of etc, and have not had a problem since.

One problem is that every Bank emplyee seems to have a different requirement, and NONE seem to have read the ACT.
