BobbyMac, I have no issue with that, but you will agree that this is a far cry from the initial insinuations that billions of rands are flooding in here and being misused by corrupt officials.

No marine1, the real truth is that something is being done, not enough yes, but something is being done, which is contrary to what you claim.
 
Well you send me to a proudly SA / pro SA site, how can anyone take that as the truth. Obvioously they are going to say what wondferful things are being done. Maybe some is being done. However with the ammounts of money involved and the dire situation we are in, the gvt should be charged with murder. I have had 4 staff die from HIV. Quite sad. Go and ask Zackie Achmat if he thinks anything "constructive" is being done. Talking about this is not doing anything. Talk is cheap and it seems the gvt is very good at it.

You're not getting the point that he's trying to make - you might have a valid claim by saying that they respond at a snails pace, however you'd have an invalid point by saying that nothing at all is being done. Yes we know that the gvt can be slow at getting it's act together, however that's completely different from doing nothing at all.

As much as I hate to admit it, this applies to the telecoms sector as well. Things are changing (albeit slowly), however it's incorrect to state that nothing is being done at all.
 
Ok why don't you tell that to all the people dying in SA because the gvt is so slow. In my opinion I don't believe anything is being done. They are more worried about 2010 then peoples lives. Don't give me a pro SA website and then say look something is being done. Thats rubbish. GVT couldnt care less about its people. Show me positive things the people on the ground are saying about HIV treatment. No they would rather recommend herbs and garlic, maybe thats where all the money went ?

Again, talking and saying speeches to the people and on some website mean sweet f*all. They can talk all they want. Still nothing happens. Oh wait , I think the criminals in prison are getting ARV's. That's great. Keep the criminals alive.

Totally agree. Enough said. Sorry but did you even read the pages you just posted? Look at the bottom. Even they complain about gvt inability to go ahead with their plans.
