Fifa World Cup 2026

Not only that but some of the third places in the groups will make it through to the next round based on this ranking.

So I think if we have like a 2-2 draw with Korea we might have a good enough placing for the next round.

If we beat Korea we get second in the group we play Canada or Switzerland, if we draw with a lot of goals then we end up against Germany. So not much more but get an extra game and exit the group stage for the first time.
It's unlikely on just 2 points for two draws. That comes first.

Then you are hoping and praying that most other 3rd or 4th placed teams lose their remaining games.

yes, its a long shot.

But at the same time a lot of the other 3rd places might have a 2 losses and a draw.
Its highly unlikely that many other 3rd places have a loss, draw and a win.... so will most likely be a loss and two draws, so then goals will be the most important thing.

Just watching highlights of recent games, and I don't get the hype around Yamal. He scores a tap in against Saudi, and the commentator is going on like he's the second coming of Messi. Sure, he's good, but come on.

I'm not a big fan of making such a big deal out of individual players ALL THE TIME. annoying

The squad is setup for him (this time round) and he is making sure he banks it
That but he is also unreal in possession

That goal he scored at the end of the game tonight! Wow - put it on a plate for his teammate who spurned the chance then went, fxck it, I'll do it myself - unreal finish from his own rebound

Agreed think he probably makes most if not all teams... Often walks but still gets in the best positions and does seem to create more chances for teammaters compared to some of the "others" who also walk and dont defend.
