I am planning to buy a film camera as i intend to do a darkroom course a little later in the year.

Any suggestions to what to buy - prefer a canon model with an EF lens amount...that way i alrready have glass in the bag.

// Because i have pretty much covered digital in terms of shooting and post processing and i would like to learn to print my own images in a darkroom...

Why? :)

Pity you're in CT, I have an old Pentax SLR gathering dust in my cupboard.

Second-hand film bodies are cheap. I picked up a Rebel 500N which works well enough (light-meter is a bit off, but otherwise it's 100%). I paid £25 or so on eBay. See if you can get an Elan model though, they're somewhat higher spec - have more controls like the wheel on the back. Trust me, shooting M with the film rebels is a pain in the backside.

It was fun at the time but looking back I dont miss the darkroom at all.

Fortunately I havent come across anything that I could do there that I cant do on the computer . . . apart from the eczema.

It's a bit like getting your old IBM PC XT out the cupboard to type up a document in WordPerfect :D

At least that's still at least as good, if not better, than typing out something in WYSINAEWYG (What You See Is Not Always Entirely What You Get) MS Word. :p

I have Canon F3 + good lens(will give spec later). Search some opinions, if you decide to buy, let me know.
