After so many years of being a DSTV Premium Subscriber I finally said goodbye to DSTV today.
Two weeks into my fibre line installation and everything is running smoothly.

That's my ultimate aim, but FTTH is a pipe dream in the tiny town I live in in the WC.

Well, you can share your DSTV subscription with someone with uncapped broadband who is interested. You sign up for DSTV Now and give them the credentials, they pay half (of the normal subscription cost).

Half? That doesn't seem fair.

Because regardless of your bandwidth, streaming quality is not the same. Also, not all the channels are available online.

They can pay R0 and get zero content. Just saying if I was wanting the content I'd be wiling to pay half, or if I had Premium I'd want half for the DSTV Now..

Only reason I'm still a subscriber is for the sport!! Worth the price of admission as far as I'm concerned. Wonder if there's a Sport channel only bouquet?

If they have your credentials, they can log into DSTV website.. and stuff around with your subscription :p Next minute your TV goes blank and you sub is cancelled.... :p

Or they add box office and watch 150 movies all on your account.

Watched cricket Eng vs SA earlier, now watching Ajax vs Man U with no issues.

If DSTV Now is broadcasting in HD, then yeah I am. Youtube and others are HD.
