Obviously he has HEARD of it...otherwise why wouldn't he LIKE it.I did and it doesn't seem like he really has. It's not about what you don't like it's about what everyone uses.

In my experience, I much prefer using the other two sites I mentioned and found I got more out of them. Plus, they have actually decent desktop versions that allow me to upload photos without having to use a browser extension. So I've tended to avoid Instagram wherever possible.I did and it doesn't seem like he really has. It's not about what you don't like it's about what everyone uses.
As a hobbyist photographer, how would I go about finding willing subjects for photos? I mean for posed photos, not candid street photos.
I have tried sending a few messages through one model site, so far with no response. I don't know if it's because I can only offer TFP or the ones I messaged just aren't active anymore.
So are there any other options open to me? Or am I just going to be forced to shoot my own face?
I'm in Durban, BTW.

500px and Flickr are suited for photographers - you're not looking for a photographer though, you need to go where the potential models are, and that's instagram and Facebook. In my experience, I much prefer using the other two sites I mentioned and found I got more out of them. I can't believe no one has suggested this yet
men and women - he just said models - don't be Sexist -Maybe because we’re not misogynists who only view women as objects for our gratification?
If that's a casting couch joke, it's in poor taste. You need to get a black leather couch first

@RedViking is in Durban area and available most weekends during the lockdown

Thanks. If I have any shoot ideas for a male model I'll keep you in mind.
Yeah but in reality you need to go where the numbers are. I hate Whatsapp and despise it since there are better alternatives available including Telegram etc. but everyone uses it so I have to too.In my experience, I much prefer using the other two sites I mentioned and found I got more out of them. I've never heard of Telegram, so I just imagine someone tapping out morse code messages rather than using Whatsapp.Yeah but in reality you need to go where the numbers are. Ja, but sometimes the sites you use aren't about how easy it is for you to upload pictures, but rather about the audience you can reach. Nobody gives a crap about flickr as a platform to see ideas and get in touch. You want exposure and models? Start using a platform that gives you that.In my experience, I much prefer using the other two sites I mentioned and found I got more out of them.
