So I'm thinking about doing a photography workshop

I potentially have a really nice location but it is pricy, also potentially have a really good MUA she does work with play house etc and looking at 3 or 4 models I'm considering R600pp if I do hire lighting if I don't R500 should ok .... I think

I want to get about 6 photographers, so no big profits involved.
I am going to use social media, gumtree and my contact list
 
I'm looking at early September to do this, should be plenty time to get things done?

Should have been clearer - I meant to ask how will you be promoting it to photographers - still as a workshop?
 
OP, why not approach photo clubs and 'rent' your models to them for a fee? There are so many, you could engage with the committees and make propositions that suit you, models. Club members etc... Clubs have practical excursions/sessions often. Think about it.

they not exactly my models but wouldn't that make me sort of like a model agency?
 
@bwana one thing it's not is a workshop but still not sure what to call it: photo day, photographer meet, model photographer meet and shoot, I better make my mind up fast though

How many of the models have you shot with?

Reason I ask is that I've come to realise that's a huge difference working with a model and a pretty girl who has no experience.

If you're charging and the girls aren't up to scratch, you're going to have a problem. Same with the MUA.

I'm pretty new at photography so only shot 2 proper models the MUA I'm in contact with is pretty good.
in the interest of full disclosure I would share confirmed models on this thread in case anybody here is interested in participating.

Well I've already asked :D
 
So I paid my deposit for the location and location is the St James on Venice the date is the 8th of September it's a Sunday. Should confirm a few models real soon maybe within a day or two. R500 is the price so drop me a DM if you interested.

So far one confirmed model still working hard to get the right quality models for this event
