Firefly is back

I don't know whether I would like this IP to be animated... Maybe it works out, and say it does, then I totally expect them to sell their uniqueness to the animation studio under some 'AI' agreement.

There were comics done which were pretty good.

The original by Dark Horse? Dark Horse is good, and old school. They have a mature art style. Not all manga makes good anime, and not all anime makes good manga.

I would need to see the product.

Bring back Lost!

Just kidding, I never watched Firefly (maybe one episode) despite being a big sci-fi fan. Not sure where we as South Africans would have watched it.

Firefly originally aired in South Africa on SABC3 from 15 April to 22 July, 2003, on Tuesdays at 19h30. It aired as 15 episodes, to accommodate the two-hour premiere.

I don't remember watching it on TV, but at that time wasn't watching a lot of TV. But a friend got the dvds when they released. Borrowed them

I think it was on ETV when I watched a bit of it the first time. I thought it was the biggest load of kuk ever.

I few weeks later I watched it again because there was f all else on and got hooked. Mostly because of the humor and Christina Hendricks who held my attention.

Bought the dvd box set.

They have to hit the aesthetic just right to make it work.
The problem is that modern animation is soulless., I mean yes, there are still studio's putting out animation but for the most part its computer assisted and looks like it.

All that hype and its just cartoon bullshyte. Ugh.
Which isn't a bad thing... Why the animosity towards animation? Go watch the Legends of Vox Machina, Mighty Nein is ok but not as good as Vox Machina. Or Castlevania on Netflix, hell even Archer, American Dad

I read that the studio is ShadowMachine. Curious how they will approach this IP.

Well, earliest release date is probably 2028 to 2029 so nothing to fret over for a while.

Lol he is a normie when it comes to animation/anime. There is also stuff like edge runners. This season's shows, like sentence to be a hero, frieren, tells a different story demon slayer, promised neverland, ect in fact there is quite a few 16+ rated anime's, not all to do with lewdness, Samurai Champloo, Heavenly Delusion, Baki ect.

If you look up normie in the urban dictionary his name pops up. lol
