Is it just me or is Firefox getting worse and worse everyday.. I have 3 very decent computers and they all giving the same problems with firefox. (1x desktop, 1x laptop, 1x htpc, all running Vista Business 32 connected to Netgear DG834GT)

Some examples:
1. Flash videos just stop loading, its says done in the bottom right but they are definately not. Quite annoying when you get half way through 10 minute clip.

2. Every now and then(like today) when I open firefox the program opens but then can't find any sites, just sits there. When I close FF and reopen it says that FF is already running blah blah. Have to manually close the process(which is sitting with some ridiculous amount of memory) This problem nearly made me buy a new router when all 3 of my PC's couldn't connect, until I tried IE.

3. Spell Checker doesn't work anymore?

4. FF just closes and restarts its self.

Everytime I have had one of these problems I have switched to IE and it handled the site I was on perfectly, since this morning been running IE only:eek: and its been a pleasure. What happened to the days of FF just working flawlessly 24/7

Anyone else have any similar experiences?

Always worked fine for me!

Firefox is the Shizniz!

Sounds like it is time for somebody to reformat their hard drive. :p

Never been anything other than unimpressed with firefox. Without the add-ons it would be mediocre at best.

Lol. Thing is it happens on all 3 computers which are all quite well kept, always updated and formated every 6 months.

I like these FF threads.

I use Opera and its better. Period.

Thing is I am going to sorely miss some of those cool add ons.

Add-ons could be the problem...

Certain add-ons can make FF unstable. Recently there were issues on 64bit versions (early versions) of Flash - I don't know if this is completely sorted now, but mine appears to be stable.

Some of the recent add-ons I found that gave me lots of problems: "Domain Details" and "Flashgot". When I enable any of these two, FF becomes slow and will die within an hour. With both these disabled, I can work for days on FF (currently, my session is about a week up).

BTW: I am on 3.0.5

You guys that are complaining are probably using FF3. I'm using FF2 and it works wonderfully. FF is a brilliant browser.

I have never had a problem with Firefox. Seriously, since the days of the first release I have never looked back. IE on the other hand is another story. Chrome is OK, but I like a cross platform browser.

Stay away from dodgy addons, which may casue problems.

Only reason I use FF is Adblock Plus, without it, I would use IE. FF has been having too many issues since v3, ran it on XP and now Vista 64, having the same crashes, website timeouts etc, also on a DG834GT.

FF,no problems..When it did hang and restart the fix was out within a few days..Running on 4 OS and no probs..64,2x 32 Vista and XP.
