Firefox not what it used to be?

I'm using FF3 with no problem whatsoever. I am trying out Opera and Chrome but I guess I got used to FF and won't switch browsers easily.

Then you should probably switch to Opera - it beats FF hands down in terms of cross platform. http://www.opera.com/browser/download/?custom=yes
 
when ie stops using around 100meg per tab of memory i would use it again. FF on the other hand dont.
 
FF - Edit this Bookmark popup is annoying

Using Firefox for a number of years now. Not tried Opera or Chrome, but I should as maybe I am missing something.
I would be inclined to give Chrome a whirl because of it's connection with Google which has been so successful. Just not IE.:p

For me the most annoying new feature to FF is the Edit This Bookmark Popup seen here.
I have searched the internet and done extensive reading on how to prevent this annoying pop-up from opening when I open a new FF Browser and click on the Bookmark Tab at the top. Only happens the first time when you open a new browser window?
 
It seems the majority of the people complaining about Firefox have one thing in common: Microsoft Windows.

No I do not want to bash your choice of O$, I'm merely pointing out a fact.
Run both FF3 and opera without issues. FF3 session on my Ubuntu box running into weeks already

i grew on2 firefox.... but like all u guys said about the problems happen to me as well.... running vista ultimate 64blt....

guess im moving back to opera.... just got to love the speed dial.... that makes opera top 2 with firefox :D

im using that now.... just installed.... couldnt find my ff3 installation file...and got local only cap left....

**** is.... when it loads a page... and i clink on link before it completed loading page... it just stays there... doesnt go to next link... i have to stop the current pages loading and then click on the link... quiet irritating if u ask me :eek:
 
To each his own. I do agree that some extensions can introduce instability and that this cannot be blamed on the browser being dodgy.

I also run FF3 on linux and have no problems - it might be that I'm just lucky idk.

Some examples:

3. Spell Checker doesn't work anymore?

4. FF just closes and restarts its self.

Everytime I have had one of these problems I have switched to IE and it handled the site I was on perfectly, since this morning been running IE only:eek: and its been a pleasure. What happened to the days of FF just working flawlessly 24/7

also having a couple of issues\with FF,hope the next update will repair what used to be a great browser
 
i tried opera 9.6 just now with IE7 and ff3; opening 5 sites (...5 tabs for each browser) on each one and looking at the memory usage- opera was using the most, then ie and least by ff...

Only 2 I had installed were ant toolbar and flash. I used ant to download any flash video I came accross that I wanted.

Yes, I was using 3.05, the latest one to date. Im not going to hunt for version 2.3.121.314124 because it was the most stable. Do you still use win98?
