FireStick + VPN

I came back to this last week to see if I could get it working.
I followed the basic guide here: https://support.cyberghostvpn.com/h...are-a-VPN-connection-over-Wi-Fi-on-Windows-10

I have surfshark VPN app installed on my machine and shared the connection as per the above guide.
I can connect my Amazon Firestick to the wifi network I created on my Win10 machine, though when I try to watch anything I still get an error about geographic restrictions.
I suspect its something to do with the routing/assigned IP ?
Anyone tried this approach and had success?

I havent tried it but the firestick is seemingly very difficult to persuade. You might have to google specific how tos for the firestick.

Btw, if you connect a phone or another pc to the windows 10 "vpn-ed" wifi, does netflix uk/iplayer/ect work? I.e. is the problem with the firestick or the vpn setup.

If its the firestick, you might need to reset the firestick/change the firestick country settings/use a new amazon account made through the vpn?? Just guessing.

ok, so connected to the ad hoc shared wifi connection from a Windows 10 machine, I can access amazon prime content using a browser.
Connecting my android phone to the same shared wifi connection I cannot view the same prime content using the Amazon Prime app.
In the app I get "This title isnt available in your location", yet in the PC browser it works 100%
hmmm, interesting.
