Yeah sure, But not a 20 year old TDI with 300k. There are much better buys out there. The TDi’s are bullet-proof. What’s the issue?
Suzuki Celerio
I like turbodiesels, but that's high risk on that high kilometre motor. If it goes, it's very expensive. 300K is about the time that you need to start budgeting for a replacement motor (amongst others, the torque generated by the TDi takes its toll on the rest of the drivetrain too).Someone offered him a very good condition 2004 Polo 1.9TDi 3-door with 293k (FSH) on the clock for 75K.
Nope - stock standard and in very good nick. Interior is clean (leather not cracked or scratched) - the dash looks a bit worn in places but for a 19 year old car I'm quite impressed.Let me guess its lowered and has custom exhaust on it lol
Thanks - I don't know much about car engines but had an intuitive reaction to the high mileage. That said, it averages out to 15k per year which is about standard.I like turbodiesels, but that's high risk on that high kilometre motor. Great car, But that torque is addictive and not safe for a 20 year old boy with high testosterone, Get a 1.4 Vivo and he can rev it up all he wants without breaking it.Nope - stock standard and in very good nick. The only thing I'm not sure about is the mileage (are there any major repairs in the immediate future) and whether it's a good price.
Oh no.I heard there might be some super car bargains at WBC in the Cape flats this week
But he doing mother nature a favour by driving a CLEAN vw diesel.i wont go diesel for his 1st car
rather go naturally aspirated 1.4 or something
To replace a turbodiesel motor will cost about 2.5x that of a normally aspirated petrol motor, unless you go for a Japanese 2nd hand cutout, but the 1.9 is going to be difficult to source, and then you have the hassle of getting the paperwork in order etc. Best to stick with something simple. Thanks - I don't know much about car engines but had an intuitive reaction to the high mileage. Don’t settle for less, you’re worth a least an M3No, But I will marry him if he gets a 320d.. He seems like my type.
Good choice. As requested - trusty Corsa 270k on the clock got it at 70k I put 200k on in 12 years. Treat cars well service and maintain them properly and they will look the same the day you got them.

It still boggles my mind how comfortable and fuel efficient this car is. Currently getting 5.2l per 100km
Will do a more detailed review in a months time
I told you we have different taste when it comes to cars.Don’t settle for less, you’re worth a least an M3
