And this is what the fuel consumption is driving like an "ass".

Ah the good old days when my oupiel kadett used 18L/100km driving efficiently (40+ when planting it).. then to a new pug that uses 4.4L/100km on average.
The 5.7 on the Toyota must be quite a bit lower than the old Corsa gave you.

Yeah think the corsa was 6.2-6.5 still crazy for me that a car this size is sooo low. I know it's a hybrid but it's awesome to see in action.

It will get closer to 7 on long trips, because there isn't as much starting and stopping (and regenerative braking).
It's actually quite interest as it's charging and eving at 100 plus if there is a slight decline in the road too. Longest one way trip is 60km so I'll feedback on the first "road trip" whenever that is.

About 600km it's a 36l tank.

I fill up once every 2.25 weeks so that doesn't phase me much.
Is that 600km until empty?
That's like R800 (36l 95) for 600km which is about R1.30 per km - which I'd say is just above average.

Please note its gauteng we use 93 not 95 yesterdays tank was around R725

Please note that was me driving like an "ass" 16.66km per litre prior "test"

19.6km p/l

The above averages are on an entire tank of petrol not just a trip

600km on 36l is 6l/100km.
Just above average - even over shorter distances.
I'd love to know what cars you drive. I don't know too many crossovers/SUVs under 8l/100km.

Was wondering how the car would fare on a road trip.

First one from Pretoria to kzn side. 5.1l/100km zero complaints petrol cost 750 for one way. Also had the aircon on.

Cruise controlled most of the way that harrismith pass was a breeze with cruise control.
