First public Intel Larrabee demonstration

A number of journalists attending the presentation were less than impressed with the brief demonstration, observing noticeable frame drops.

hmmm, Intel has pipe dreams. If they think they can run into the GPU scene and destroy the competition, then they've lost the plot. I mean, if you just look at AMD and Nvidia, the graphics cards are actually very close in terms of performance, and the GPU scene is very cut throat. If the one company has a new kickass architecture, they will release it in a year or less.

hmmm, Intel has pipe dreams...

All I have to say is that Rome wasn't built in a day lol. Maybe to speed up the process of this Larrabee... Nvidia should start having a few money problems and Intel "helps" them :D, but probably the EU will try and bring an end to it lol.

By the way looking at this long list of BS you posted "DJNgoma" -
"Cannot Boot From USB Drive. ...to be verified."

YES you can. You can boot OSX from a USB or FireWire drive. This is something Windows XP/7/2K/9x/ME/Vista won't let you do. :)

The rest of the stuff is mostly rubbish. You can play 1080p files smoothly - the process is CPU or GPU dependent depending on the 'duh' CODEC involved and not - dum-dee-dum on the "playa" involved.

I'm not going to starting with you, that's why it was slated as being my two cents but alas we are only allowed 4 lines in the sig. If anyone wants to start something with this guy, then go ahead... I'm not stopping you.

That statement seemed to anger a lot of people. But..Mac users warn against windows. Do I not have the right to warn against Mac? I've seen too many people switch not because they evaluted the OS enough to decide that they like it, but only based on half-understandings of some very opinionated comments made by others and decided that Mac is flawless. If you think you will be free of all troubles when you switch to another OS, you are wrong.

I really enjoyed that last bit.

LOL, even if Intel had trained ninjas to slowly by Nvidia's shares, the EU will notice it and smack on the bottom. Intel is being very closely watched from all angles.
