Never bought from them before and am planning to get this mouse from them:

I also know a lot of shops have become less than reliable in a post-covid world, so just wanted to make sure.

I've only bought from them once, but their service was excellent

Yeah bought from them a couple of years ago, they are legit.

It goes smoothly till it doesn't. They advertise stuff as in stock but I waited almost a month for some Logitech stuff, only to be told I have to wait another month when stuff didn't arrive. I eventually got a refund. I understand stock shortages, but then don't show stuff as in stock when it's obviously not. On the previous order I had a similar issue with some Ironwolf drives.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback. Will email ahead to confirm they do indeed have stock of the item before I place my order.

Firstshop is legit yes, bought a few items from them over the years.

Had one really bad experience a few years ago which I've recounted on the forum before - in short, ordered a large HDD.
Returned the drive within a few days as it was DOA.

They refused to refund it, saying "the drive was opened / screws were loosened / undone".
Quite absurd and a bizarre way to try weasel out of honoring the warranty.
Couple of months later they apologized and refunded the drive. Haven't had issues since.

Most definitely is...it is owned by First Technology.

...but at the prices they want to charge for monitors I would personally give them a skip!

I am still using my Microsoft Intellimouse from 2001 everyday at home on my MacAir, I think I paid R150 for it back then which was a lot of money. Money well spent
I dont use it for gaming, I have a cheap R200 mouse for that on my gaming rig

Why are you using a mouse with a MacBook?
My macair is permanently switched on and the lid is shut coz it is small, i run a separate keyboard and mouse and monitor to it.
Only use it for surfing the internet and checking emails
Its almost 10 years old now

Firstshop.co.za is giving people hope by incorrectly stating on their site that orders can still be placed but orders placed on 21 December 2021 or thereafter will only be delivered after the 4 January 2022. Their office will also be closed from 23 December 2021 until 3 January 2022. So disappointed, since at the time that I read that statement, went ahead anyway to order from them on 17 December 2021 only to find out today that they have now closed their offices and they have ETA for my order to be delivered to their local warehouse on 12 January 2022. Anyway, will update this post if they can actually have my order delivered around that time and in a good condition. So disappointed in them atm. :cautious:
