apparently vets use it as a horse laxative... so maybe try you're local vet/horse specialist? otherwise, if you're in pta, you could try the vet campus at Onderstepoort. they sell all sorts of crap there.

In Cape Town, but I am sure there should be something similar here...

I'm actually doing this mod. I've done everything, just waiting for the mineral oil which I've ordered from http://www.vetproductsonline.co.za/

All in all, 35l of liquid paraffin(mineral oil) is around R750, the tank and pump cost R409 and then R200 for stones and accessories, so it's quite an expensive mod.

I'll show pics if ya'll wanna see.

Sure, I haven't got the MO yet, so I'll post dry.It's not complete yet.

It's an old P4 1.8Ghz, DDR 512Mbs RAM, 30gb HD, 64mb graphics card and 500w psu. Going to let it run for awhile, then I'll put my proper stuff.

Thanks. ;) I'm really getting impatient waiting for the oil. I'll post more pics or might put a vid up on Youtube when I get it.
 
Only about 3 days? I'm going to fetch it tomorrow rather. It's about an hour drive from me. When you on the site I gave, click Horse, then search Liquid Paraffin as that's what MO other name is.

I did quite a bit of research on all of this. I'm quite adamant that it'll last a while. Visited and watched many different things.

All looks good. ;)

Good stuff. I am pretty keen for this mod now. Did you just buy the tank at a normal pet shop for like R400 odd?
 
Good luck. :) I got the tank for R119+R43 for the lid(what a rip :/ )I bought a submersible pump which was R169 which pumps like hell lol, better flow of oil, better cooling. I also got coned with a water heater which supposedly could go to 16'c which it doesn't but that doesn't matter. All in all it cost R409.

Then on Monday I went to buy the stones, the stone skull, and a fake plant, that came to R210. 8Kg's of stones mind you >_> to help save volume as the oil is so expensive.

I'm also, next month, going to get a radiator from a Liquid Cooling set to help cool the oil. That's R468 excluding shipping. I'll attach some clear piping to inlet and outlet of the pump to let it circle through.

So yeah. ;)
