No matter how good the setup I just cant bring myself to like freshwater tanks.
I grew up with many saltwater ones and I still get the urge pretty often to get one going again.
 
Would love to get a marine tank but it looks to complicated and expensive

Expensive initially yes but not really complicated. Had a 180x60x60cm marine setup for many years.
I actually found it to be less work than a freshwater setup.
 
I also had a reef tank.
200x70x70. With sump it was 1500ltr.
When I walked out of my job in 2009 I sold off all the corals, fish, machinery and tank for just over R180 000.
Kept me going for a few months.
Loved it but the stress with loadshedding, and cost of electricity was hectic. Running 1200 watts for eight hours a day and that's just the lights, then you add about 12 pumps, chiller etc it adds up.
Maybe one day again.
