Five lesser-known Internet browsers

There are probably a lot more browsers out there. Most of the more obscure ones are for specific purposes though, and not for general browsing (like IE 5-6 that were there to attract worms, viruses and rootkits).
 
I'm typing this from my Opera browser. Love it.
 
From 1996 to 1998 I used IE 2 to 5 and then switched to Opera - I have never regretted it. All these new-fart browsers are just a flash in the pan I tell ya.

The Mail client is simply the easiest way for me to create HTML emails. If you know what you are doing, it includes the images and references them in the HTML email so that the rich mail includes the pic and does not need to connect to an outside server. Used to be a part of my old job and SM was the easiest way to do it, period.
 
Maxthon is a serious contender. The download is only 6,7 megs. It includes:
Built in mouse gestures
Download manager
Script blockers, pop-up stopper,
Form filler
Its own firewall thingy to prevent malicious code.

Most of these things are add-ons for Firefox, and non-existent for IE. (Does anyone actually use that?)
Maxthon also has hundreds of plug-ins available.

It really peeves me when I upgrade Firefox, but my mouse gesture add-on no longer works.

If your browser is boring, give this one a try.
 
Are any of these any good? Between Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera there's so much quality you don't need anything else. Sure is tough to compete with that crowd.

For Mac users Stainless is worth a look and Fluid is really cool - it's a Site specific browser which makes Desktop Apps from your Web apps.
 
Opera??, Chrome??. how did they go from "the top 3" to the bottom and miss out some of the best but not popular browsers.
 
I myself use Opera,Chrome,FireFox and IE. All of them have their pro's and cons.... Certain Applications just works better in the Diffrent Browsers.
I have Learnt, that Certain Network/Tellephone System software Just works better in Opera than in Firefox or IE. With Chrome google search works a bit better, and With General Browesing and Downloading http content Firefox is better(with Certain ad-ons), Firefox Does some recoding of script if there is something small wrong with it(margins of web pages and so on). IE only show's you where your margins is not working and screws up your whole website you are busy developing... But If your Website works well in IE, It is going to work better in all the other Browsers.
