Flash Drive doesn't open normally

So my flash drive opens normally on my pc, but on my girlfriend's pc the "open with" box appears. I also can't tick the box to always open it with IE

Most likely "Malware / Virus" - download the trial version of Kaspersky - that sorted out my issue after my university going niece infected my machine (university machines crawl with malware) - the flash disk based ones are particularly difficult to eradicte

Run a boottime scan with your anti-virus, I used avast! which removed it first time, nice.

Remove the virus > open with file explorer (folder view) > copy all ur data from flash > format flash > replace data - keep anti virus scanner active while copying the stuff or else will invect whole machine! I get this with flash drives about 1nc a week. If u dont format it, it will only open in autorun (when u plug it in) or via the folders tab in XP.
Can however be wrong and it might not be what i think it is and you dont have to format it. Nevertheless ALWAYS back up ur data!
