I'm getting it via Game Pass, but it has only downloaded about a gig on the preload. Would have been nice to preload some more of it, seeing it's about 120 gig or so

Nope, Cape Town is included in the standard edition as is all airports in SA, even remote strips. The Deluxe version includes a "Hand Crafted" airport... The standard will include Cape Town International, but it will be AI generated.

But can you select to take off from any airport? The article I read implied that the limitation was on where you could select to take off from.

Im shocked that the price for the delux version has so few planes. Was expecting much more.

The extra content in the pricier versions seems to be very difficult to justify unless you badly need a specific plane.

Yes sir, the standard edition includes all airports worldwide.

Note it will keep downloading as you fly around the world, supposedly that's ~1GB/hour depending on route etc.

More planes will be added monthly, and there will be ray tracing added later, that will probs bring DX12/12_2 which might add DLSS 2.0 (maybe 3 as RTX 3000 series is set to launch with it next month).

You can turn off the FS music through the volume mixer
