According to Suzuki spec sheet.
It's 185/55/R16.
Would hate for you to go through all the trouble sourcing a Tyre and then it's the wrong size.

I recently had to replace two tyres on my polo. They were 195/65/15 Goodyears. Tyremart came back to me to say that that tyre was no longer distributed and they'd have to order it in for me. Eventually had to settle for moving my existing 195's to the rear and fitting 185's to the front.

I think this idea of discontinuing a range is nothing new.

They seem to have a good number of options in your size.

Everyone has them online but a few phone calls and they all need me to phone again on Monday lol.
Errol's is definitely a good spot tho, he got back to me on WhatsApp. Very progressive with their online presence too.

But on a 2020 model?

what? lol. I've had Yokohama, Dunlop and the rubbish they call Michelin (2 of them literally came apart with pieces of rubber falling off after 10k km on Pilot Primacy) and nothing grips or lasts like Bridgestone. They're amazing tyres. I'm generally not fussy, but Bridgestone grip well, and the others are good too. I just will never touch Michelin again.

Different "models" perform differently. Bridgestone RE050A - not very good. RE002, great. Michelin PS3 - so good it's actually boring. Kumho (don't remember which tyre exactly) isn't very grippy, but can be quite fun even on a dry road.

Oh no. Yeah, that is kind of weird. That being said. Tyre sizes are tyre sizes. Whether a car is one year old or 13 years old, that doesn't determine the dimensions of the fitted tyres.

EDIT : unless you were referring to the tyre model and not the car model...

I struggled last year to find tires for my Corsa B, this is one of the most popular cars on the road and they don't have tires for it, warrefok.

Eventually one shop said listen we don't have the 13" 155 you need but we can fit 165 on that rim if you'd like, works brilliantly.

Generally 16" tires are difficult to get hold of in normal circumstances. They are also expensive.
When I changed the wheels on my older car I had I've decided on 15" though I wanted 16"
Back then the guys at TW&T (including people I know who has had 16" wheels)
Said it's cheaper to buy new 17 or 18" tyres than 16" or get hold of.
They are not very common in SA, change the size if you can

There was a shortage of tyres last year October/November, I found this out when I hit a pot hole and the distributor only had 2 left in their Durban depot. I would presume due to covid and the importing of goods etc... I doubt much has changed 2 months later.

Did you find the correct size tyres?
I did. They are being imported by a local dealer - I had the option of changing sizes and switching 4 tyres or sticking to the same size and getting two. I'm getting Good Years for R1750 a tyre and replacing both front tyres. The imports land on Friday next week.

I'm going to advertise the one good bridgestone I'm replacing online (done less than 3000 km) or get a steel rim and stick it on there to replace the biscuit spare.

Should have gone with a size change, but it's up to you

*cries in 205/55R16*

I do envy the cars with 15's and 17's as they seem much more reasonably priced all over.
MY Audi had that size. And some BMW also came out with them. I was lucky that the 2nd hand dealership close to us had a habit of putting new tyres on their cars. And they had a deal with the supaquick. End result was that supaquick sold these tyres with 60%+ tread left for R200.

I could go in, sort through the tyres to pick 4 that looked good. Never had problems, only replaced when i picked up screws or bolts or metal pieces in the tyres.
At the time i worked near bellvile south, garbage dump and metal shop was on the same road.
In my 10 years with my Audi i went to them 3 times for tires.

Biscuit.
Going to fix that at the same time. Put two new tyres on and keep the old as a spare. It's only got 3k on the clock.
Sounds like my wife's Swift, only way Im going to be replacing tyres in the next 5 years on that car is if she hits a pothole.
Car is 3 years old now and sitting on 3700km...
