maybe the fact that tire factories are closing,
and were regarded as a Junk rating is making it harder to find unusual size tires.

or again, some sizes are easier to find then others.

Trying to find a reasonably priced 225/45/r19 for my Opel is also a mission at times.
I see your 225/45/r19's, and raise you all-season 215/45/r18's. Thanks, Mazda... (those are the OEM Dunflops, btw).

I struggled to find 185/55/15" for my Honda last year.

Eventually had to import 4x Kumho for R1550 each.

I did. They are being imported by a local dealer - I had the option of changing sizes and switching 4 tyres or sticking to the same size and getting two. I'm getting Good Years for R1750 a tyre and replacing both front tyres. The imports land on Friday next week.

I'm going to advertise the one good bridgestone I'm replacing online (done less than 3000 km) or get a steel rim and stick it on there to replace the biscuit spare.
I have found that the Hi-Q in Beacon Bay(Spargs complex) is normally pretty good with tyre stock. They were replacing a tyre on a Suzuki Baleno that had hit a pothole in early January when I was there.
Had to sit around for 3 hours to get a puncture fixed, it was insanely busy at all of the tyre places in the first few days of the new year.

Thanks, I'll bear that in mind!
