Hello everyone.....

Whilst playing games on the PC in the dark of night, i find that its just a bit dark to see the keys of the keyboard properly.

Now, i dont want to turn any lights on , and, i dont want a little usb light thing.

I want a keyboard thats has the characters in Fluorescent, so they glow in the dark.

Is there something like this on the market?

Not sure whether you can buy a keyboard with these keys, but I know that there are stickers which you place on each key and peel off. There's different languages available on the site above, just choose english from the drop-down menu

might be easier (although a bit more expensive) to just get a Logitech G15 keyboard. It has a built in backlight for each key ;)

G15 for passionate keyboard people. lol.. its expensive, like you guys have said.

Ok, i cant see myself doing the sticker thing, i'd imagine they wouldnt have a long life span, either the glue will wear away, or the sticker itself will 'rub' away.

Not much really to choose from.

I would of thought that the characters on the keyboard could be easily done so they glow in the dark. Simple as that.

Any manufacturers out there willing to do me one?

MacBook Pro laptops have LED backlights in the keys controlled with an ambient light sensor. It works and looks great.

mmm, i think esquire sell something like like this light keyboards for arround
R300bucs...

Thansk for y'all suggestions. I've looked at all ya suggested links.

But i really think my idea needs some attention from keyboard makers... lol

Anyone know of any local keyboard manufacturers?

no, just phone esquire it's a pc lmt. corp they sell these things im sure of it.

lol, the reason why the light keyboard thing didn't come to 'light' is because it would distract you while in game play, this is because as you hand moves over the keys light is block by your hand and shadows are created, and then you get light that passes your eyes, so while you playing it will distract you just enough to make you think about the irritating light that is messing with your eyes and then BAB you just got killed. my freind had something similar and the keys were to bright. and the keys were to slippy, so i think it['s a good idea but needs refinement, but i think that "glow in the dark plasic" would be a great idea.

no dude the actual keys, so that you have the numbers/letters are still black but you see them coz they the non-glowing bits, if you have them the other way around tit will blur and confuse you

no dude, the letters/numbers to glow. because you only need to look for a split second then you know where it is.

Else the keyborad will be to bright if you have all the actaull keys illuminious.

Lets agree to disagree until factory trials or done.(or something like that)

....well, at least we be both agree on the same concept.

(PS - my concept would sell more keyboards than yours) lol

That does look rather nice, though I'd prefer a green/blue backlight.

I have a problem finding nice keyboards, so hard to find a nice keyboard that I can touchtype on.

Read the review. You can change the backlighting from purple to red to blue. And you can adjust the brightness. Plus the key action is reported to be great.

Surley you could stick a small light into your own keyboard at home.... if thats the type of thing you want.

Besides, keyboards are way, way over priced.
