So I have decided to get either the MacBook Pro or MacBook Air through FNB. What I want to know, is there any way of me walking into a FNB branch or some other store and picking it up the same day? Or is this not an option?

I urgently need one as my PC I was using has died and am in the process of starting up our new company.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not at a branch, but if there's a dotFNB store in your area you can do it there.

I am in Milnerton, Cape Town. Maybe there is one at Canal Walk or the Waterfront maybe? Will have a look around. Do you know of any in Cape Town area?

Just do it the normal way , the Currier took 2 days from online ordering to deliver my iPad mini and i don't live in a major town

If its that quick then might do it that way but the problem is I need it ASAP. I was just worried about delivery time as I know a few people who waited almost three weeks for there iPads to arrive. Still going to see if there is a dotFNB shop in Milnerton area.

I just spoke to someone at the dotFNB JHB store and he tells me the stores will only open in a few weeks in Cape Town. I then called FNB and they said I can go to the iStore and fill out an application form there and if approved can take one the same day.

My SO just ordered a MBP from FNB and they consultant told her 4 to 7 days.

Yeah when I called FNB they also told me 4-7 days. If you are close to an istore, you can go apply there and if approved you can walk out with one in under 45 minutes.

Wow, did not know that.

Should have done it that way. The SO has not received an sms from FNB yet with ref, nor have they called her to arrange delivery details. I wonder if she's still able to go to the iStore?

dotFNB! Nicolway. Doo eet.

I remember reading somewhere that if you take this deal through FNB they change your account to some "mobile" type with different service fee's.. is this so?

Yes.
It costs the same as the electronic one but you are restricted to a couple of free ATM withdrawals each month if I remember right.

Aww, why Cavendish? Too far away, why not open one at Canal Walk?

Exactly what I was thinking!!!

But then again, maybe it's a good thing with regards to temptation... If it was inside Canal Walk and you had to walk past there all the time - if you catch my drift?
