Minor thing this, but twice now in the last month I've needed to make a payment and email a quick proof of payment. On desktop this is easy - make payment, download the payment pdf & send.

On the app. No such luck. The only option is to send the recipient an automatic proof of payment that costs money to send. A bit scummy pushing the app but then removing a feature and forcing you to pay for something that really - they can go **** themselves expecting people to pay for something like this.

I also prefer just sending the pdf myself so I know it's done and there's a single email trail with everything in it.

/rant.

(Or it's there an I'm missing it?)

I had an issue, bank statements without a stamp on (being downloaded).

I updated the app, issue solved

FNB app is super annoying these days,
location services always on to do anything, for what? for your spyware?
Fraudulent payments.

If you log in from RSA to make a payment but then log in from USA 15 minutes later, would that indicate fraud?

but its still annoying, I mean cant you deduce a payment being done in the USA from the IP location?
or some other way then switching on location, waiting for it to get signal, and then letting the payment go through.

Use more than one avenue to confirm, IP you can use a VPN to bypass, GPS you can use a geo spoofer on the device to bypass, etc.

The fact remains that it is used as a fraud prevention measure, giving the bank time to contact the client

Try it. Get a VPN and login to the app, logout, change location, login again.. repeat. I've tested this, and my VPN has GPS spoofing enabled as well. No warnings or anything from FNB.
