FNB blocks users from saving passwords in their browser

That's exactly what I want to know. Whenever I go to a site that has sensitive details, I "never" remember password. I bet these are the same folk who also saves the password to their mail account in the browser too...and uses the same password, and reply to peepee enhancher mails, then wonder why they got hacked.

I don't even save my payment details on steam

Just seems to be a very idiotic idea to save anything related to your money or accounts anywhere except your memory

Nice, step in the right direction. Force them to remember their own passwords.

Slightly unrelated but the other day by accident I found out the Capitec app doesn't allow you to take screenshots.

Who uses browsers to save credentials? LastPass FTW.
This change could prevent your password from being compromised by malware present on your device, but it could also interfere with various third-party password lockers such as LastPass.
Prefer Bitwarden anyway. Open source FTW!

at one stage if you opened 2 fnb tabs in edge and logged in with 2 different logins/accounts. it would mix up the logins when browsing around the sites. ending up with 2 tabs of the same account or what ever you were looking at.

meh 2 articles.

Just tested with Chrome and Safari and it happily used saved passwords, even though I got the splash screen on Chrome.

Blocking apps like lastpass would just be stupid.
