FNB Connectivity sucks

This is my internet speed on a 6Mb FNB Connect line
It has never come close to 4Mb - but this is the worst ever.

I hear you.Since I don't pay for mine, I'm not complaining too loudly.
It is a semi adequate backup for when my Crystalweb line occasionally goes wonky though.

I think they are having issues. Unable to use it adequately since Saturday.

I've had issues with FNB for months. Generally flakey service and I constantly have to reset my router etc. It's free and uncapped so tough to argue about service but I just changed to Cybersmart. So far (2 days in) and it's much much better. Same line speed but the pages always load and VPN sync's immediately etc.

Yeah. I am really sorry I moved to FNB. I reset router every day - and speed varies between 500kb and 3Mb for a 6Mb line.....Go figure!
I think I will start looking for another service provider soon

Got a 6 Mbps uncapped account for free.

Just have it as a backup. Prefer capped accounts.

eBucks. I'm on a platinum account with reward level 5:



So I get a R399 discount which gives me a 6 Mbps account for free:

2 Mbps = R199
4 Mbps = R299
6 Mbps = R399
10 Mbps = R699

Capped account typically run full speed 24x7. I use it for business during the day so can't use a uncapped as they are usually throttled during the day.

Download/Upload speed is horrendous, there are times where I couldn't even load the Google homepage. Though, I am getting it for free, so I guess I can't complain too much...

Tested just now on a 6 Mbps uncapped account and 6 Mbps line.

Got 1 Mbps download. So pretty poor. I don't actually use the account at all (it's just a backup) so even with a star rating system I should be at maximum.
