Rumour has it that there was a massive FNB data leak or breach this week.

Does anyone have more info on this?

Unable to find news about it though.

Rumours are exactly that…people making **** up and hope it’s of some random interest to someone and gives them some free internet points.

I heard the sea sprung a leak and drained into space.

Not at all, other than they are my primary bank and I’m adjacent to the industry.

I’ve just been on the internet long enough to know “apparently” often comes from nowhere and someone sharing a “cool story bro” which is either massively misconstrued or completely untrue.

FNB has a regulatory requirement to declare a breach and need to do so within 24H, so if it was “this week” it would have been published already.
