But why.
Its makes no sense..

Most likely makes business sense for fnb and pnp, fnb gets paid a cut of shoppers spend saving/spending ebucks at pnp and pnp pays to get a bunch of shoppers directed to buy stuff from them.

...so now forcing me...

Behavioural economics, which is what discovery has been doing for a while on their vitality program.

So that's how you screw over your customers and bailing out a struggling retailer.
I shop at Checkers, so now forcing me to shop at PnP, a place I do not want to shop.
Why not have both? No thanks. Screw you guys, I'm going home.
You could go to Standard bank and ucount

Yeah, our PNP absolutely sucks.
I guess I can upgrade and use Spar.

Lets see how many "loyal" customers will stick with Checkers
Some "loyal FNB customers" might take umbrage with the change, and I'm not one of them, but there are plenty of other customers who won't care in the slightest, or who will benefit from the change.

There are plenty of things in the world worse than losing a few ebucks... shopping at PnP is one of them.

Depends on which one you go to and what items you buy. Milk and eggs are often cheaper at the PnP than at the Spar which are just across the road from each other.
