Hello

So i have an FNB Gold cheque account for years now and want to get a credit card to earn more ebucks where instead of paying with cash all the time i might as well use the credit card and settle it every month.

Option 2 - is getting an FNB fusion account which from my understanding is the cheque card and credit card in one right? Do you earn more ebucks on the fusion account?

I am not sure which one to do. Having a separate credit card to my normal cheque card seems like a better option to me.

Hope you can help :) thank you.

Fusion is a Cheque Account + Overdraft

Getting Fusion + a CC would get you closer to Lvl5 I would think.

I recommend posting in this thread for help, it's very active: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/thr...r-ebucks-1-july-2020-to-30-june-2021.1085107/

As for your questions on Gold Cheque + CC vs Fusion, I found with Fusion I could get the same amount of points needed to hit level 5 as I did with a cheque account + cc. You can still get a CC with the fusion account but you will be paying for it separately, it's not bundled.

I highly recommend playing around with the calculator to work out what you can do to hit level 5 if that's your goal.

You'll hit level 5 easy with just a fusion account if you're doing it for e-bucks.
Do note a fusion account is not a credit card, it's an overdraft, as mentioned. You'll pay R69 for it when you go over R200:

So if you can guarantee that you get back more than R90 in e-bucks, it's worth doing, otherwise not. Note you need R10k gross to qualify, not net, so pre-tax (or at least that's how it was explained to me by the staff there, I'm never sure as .

If you qualify for Premiere (R240k - R750k gross), it's R219 for cheque and credit card bundle, R92 for the card.
Only go the Premiere route if you're hitting the earn limits, e.g. R1.5k for Engen vs R2k on Premiere (which is the main reason I moved one tier up, regretting it with the lock down).
