I got the same message on Premier Fusion. That prompted me to go have a look at the section that deals with the overdraft and credit facility fees. I am going to throw my toys if they charge me that fee without using the facility. Quickest way to loose a lifelong FNB customer.I got the notification mail for the fee,i'm on the Fusion Private and it did sound like it would be a fee regardless, but that could just be down to bad wording.
True. Service staff are hired for “smiles” not brains. Those agents are bottom of the barrel trainees starting on day 1. I don't trust anything they say.
How do you earn more ebucks, or do you mean more ebucks points? The way i understand it is that the fusion account is a normal account with an overdraft, you don't pay anything for the overdraft unless you use it, not sure if there are limits that must be exceeded before this charge applies, you get more ebucks for having fusion, but if you are not caureful you'll breach and pay the fee, which is what they want you to do evident by how the app displays money available not clearly defining what is cash and what is overdraft unless you go in deeper.
The CC is a paid for card whether you use it or not, which is the primary reason i do not have one since i don't need credit, and don't spend enough that the credit card rewards would pay for the card.
That used to be the case. Could go up to R200 negative before getting charged, but multiple people at FNB I've spoken to have told me it's now charged whether you use the facility or not. Guess we'll see at the end of the month. If it's the case, I can foresee a lot of upset clients.

I need to look into this, thanks for the explanation, Definitly many upset clients if that is the case, myself included, I have never used the overdraft, not even once, I have a rovolving loan with them too, which incurs no costs until used, which i also have never used before. That used to be the case. They sent out the fees increase notification a while ago, but it's not really clear in the pdf, basically just the R200 clause removed. They also only sent the message of the R69 charge on the app right at the end of June, which didn't give me enough time to change to a different account type.
Okay, I didn’t realise you were referring to Aspire.View attachment 1734843View attachment 1734845
Not sure what you mean as the cost is clearly separate, and the CC costs more.
HahaOkay, I didn’t realise you were referring to Aspire.
There are various credit facilities, that's specifically the revolving one.
Is that from the Aspire guide?i mean its black and white.....View attachment 1735283
But that's for / under the revolving facility t's and c's. I'd be happy to be wrong though.i mean its black and white.....View attachment 1735283
Why not use a Capitec account for that?I stopped using my Fusion account and reverted to using mainly my credit card because every time I needed to supply 3 months of current account statements (for various purposes from visa applications to company matters) it would amount to a sheaf of paper since it contained every grocery purchase, Mr D, Uber, subscriptions, etc. Also, was not a fan of sharing all that info, especially the Onlyfans subs (joke).
